If I met some strange looking people, and drank their liquor and fell asleep for 20 years, some changes in society i would see, would be technology and infrastructure changes. I would be willing to predict that there would be extreme changes in electronics and communication technology. I would see more development infrastructure wise throughout the world.

If this actually happened in 20 years many changes would probably happen on the national and international scale. Many things that could change internationally would be more wars, changes in leadership in other countries changes in our own countries leadership. Economy might be better or worse depending on many factors of course.

Changes in the world after 20 years would likely be better technology and a highly changed economic-political environment. The technology would have changed enough that any knowledge that I have now would be as outdated as my parent's knowledge of computers now.

If i drank magical gnome liquir and fell asleep for 20 years the future would be, the computers would be sugicly implanted into people makeing them have the capability to tap into the worlds information at any time. this would also alow them to remember everything phoneticl. also the buildings would be built by a better standered so they could withstand almost anything.

If i were to fall asleep for twenty years many things would change for sure. There would probably be no more gasoline and the earth would be much more "green". Technology would be much more complex and i probably wouldn't know how to do anything.

If I woke up 20 years from now, there would be a lot that has changed. There would be a different president, gas prices would be $2 per gallon, there would be tons of battery powered cars, and there would be no more rap music. There would be so many new laws out there that I would be allowed to ride my dirt bike down the streets. Also, the issue of global warming would not be an issue anymore because scientists have found a way to control Earth's weather.

If I fell asleep for 20 years after drinking gnome liquor I would see some big changes. There would be big advances in technology. People would be even more attached to their phones and electronic devices, but that would be because that’s how things would run. Smart phones and those types of things would replace credit cards, and everything would be available through cell phones. Technology would rule the world, but this would work in our favor and not be an end to society.

Well in 20 years I will be 36 going on 37. So my chances of playing in the NFL are done. That’s pretty disappointing. The world would be very different. We would have flying cars and other stuff like that. The Packers will have will have 20 more Super Bowl wins and you can take that to the bank. Gas will be 20 dollars a gallon. I will probably be pretty hungry and I will spend I while in the bathroom.

After 20 years, the world is a great place. Their is complete harmony in the world. The middle east is now one country called "Puppystan". It is a democratic republic and is America's top ally. Also, North Korea had so many enemies that half the country moved to Mars, which in now inhabitable. The Packers are coming off their 17th Super Bowl win over the past 21 years. Rich and even some middle class families are now driving the first models of hovering cars that run on water. Also, after having a very detailed 20 year dream that I somehow remember, I write the world's greatest novel and become a multi-millionare. Thank you gnomes, thank you.

First off I would like to say if I ever met some strange looking men...in a forest...drinking...I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be drinking anything they had to offer! But becasue this is just a blog for class...I will pretend that I did have a drink and fell asleep for 20 years. I would expect to see a lot of changes between the internationl side of things but also within the United States itself. I would think gas prices would sky rocket...unless of course we are all running off of electicity...then your prices for electricity would sky rocket in that case...if it hasn't already. :)

I drove to the racetrack and raced my twenty year race. Then, finished up on my roof on the last lap, come to find out I didn’t finish the race.

If it were 20 years later, everybody would be zombies except me. I will have to fend for my life. The first stop I will make is to pick up some guns from Gander Mountain. Then I will stake out in a house and kill all the zombies and live.

First of all, gas prices will be skyrocketed, but cars will be more efficient on gas, so it will level out. Also, McDonald’s will almost be instinct due to unhappy customers filing law suits on the company. In 20 years, there will be a professional dodge ball league. Also, Aaron Rodgers will be the icon Bret Favre once was, after he led Packers to four Super Bowl victories. Tiger Woods will have passed Jack Nicklaus’ career Major Championships. The world is growing more frustrated with each other, and is on the verge of World War III. All Communistic countries have grouped together to fight the Anti Communism countries in World War III. America would have its first female Vice President in history, breaking the gender barrier, Oprah Winfrey.

  14. If i fell asleep for twenty years in the woods, the changes that i would expect to see in society would be obviously more technology. I think that there would also be a alterantive fuel source in place instead of gasoline.

In 20 years, World War III will be winding down. The world will be chaotic, and all the major cities of the world will be smouldering, radiated wastelands, filled with mutated animals. The few remaining areas of civilization will be small towns that went untouched by enemy warheads, as well as the bunkers that world leaders and their entourages had built as insurance for just such a disaster. While some communities will form, restoring some of the order that was lost, many will become petty raiders, quickly locating discarded weapons and using them for personal gain. It will take many years yet before any true government resurfaces, and until it does, martial law is the ONLY law around.

I think that if i fell asleep because some crazy little people who gave me liquor there would be alot of chages. There would be alot more advances in electronics and people would be very dependant on them. Also the cities would be huge super cities with hardly any country land anymore. There would probably be athletes making almost billions of dollars a year and a lot of poor people on the streets or living in low income communities. People would probably have jet packs and flying cars too and the diseases we have today like cancer would probably be cured from all the medical advances

If i fell asleep for twenty years as a result of drinking a magic liquid from gnomes, i would expect many changes in society when i woke up. The first thing i would notice is my family, my assumption is that my parents would be old, my grandparents would be gone, and my niece would be a lot older and i would have missed out on watching her grow up. I would also notice the advances in technology and architecture. With all the advances made in the past twenty years, the upcoming advances will be even greater.

i don't know if i would wake up after 20 years of sleep because if we didn't have the apocalypse in 2012 or some time after then we might have had WWIII and its doubtful anyone would survive that unless they were in space but if i did wake up and the earth was still here and habitable then i would expect to see flying or hovering cars that not run off of gas and or regular space travel or something else really cool that would alter the world

If i feel asleep for 20 years the tchnology would be so much more advanced. Peiople would be kiving different, and machines would be doing most of the work. prices for goods and gas would be very very high.

I was taking a quite walk threw the woods and came across a group of dutch gnomes. They offered me some liquor so I took a swig. I fell asleep for twenty years and when I woke everything was very different. There were robots roaming the streets doing good deeds for us humans, and there were flying cars. Not only were the cars flying but they were electric, and traveled at speeds up to 200 miles per hour!

If this were to happen in twenty years I think the biggest change that would occur would be technology. I also expect that our economy would be lifted back up. I also think that there would be more shopping malls because I feel as though they are important.

In twenty Years this world would probably be so hightech that we would be traveling around in flying cars and probably not have to work and the only thing we are really going to have to do is eat drink and sleep.

If i were to fall asleep for twenty years i would expect the world to be very different. Such as technology achieving even more tasks we use everyday. I would also expect obesity to effect almost all Americans because of our technology doing all of our tasks automatically with having no need for us to do anything.

In 20 years, alot of things will have changed. We will have even more advanced technology than we do today. The Ipod and Ipad will be extinct and ancient. We will have computers that can read the human mind and have robots to do our daily chores for us. Transportation will have changed completely. The cars we drive will no longer run on gasoline, but use electricity or some other alternative fuel. We may even have our own personal flying devices to get ourselves from place to place. The sports we know today will be completely different. Every sport will be unrecognizable with the many different rule changes that will take place.

After twenty years of sleeping I would have missed out on a lot and I am sure that there would be a lot of changes from today. In twenty years I see our technology becoming more and more complex. By the time I would wake up I would not know how to use anything and feel like the older generations do today.
Also I would see improved and more eco friendly cars that would not need gas to run on. Also the entire world would hopefully come to peace with each other and there would be no more wars and disputes.

Some changes that would have occurred in society after taking a nice twenty year long nap would be that I would wake up and find that technology would have changed drastically. Also, almost everyone owns either a prius or some other very fuel efficient car. We will have gone through having the first woman president as well!

The first thing that would be different to society is that I would expect there to be an increase in amount of people living in a little city of Kiel. The town of Kiel would become huge with different diversity that which would increase the amount of buildings put up and more shops. There would be a Taco Bell, Shopko, and many malls. The little town of Kiel which is now the big town of Kiel would be the most popular town to visit due to the increase of technology and the decrease in gas prices.

After I stopped for a drink or so with the strangest looking people, I felt my eyes getting heavier. My eyes became so heavy that I just fell asleep, and I couldn’t wake up for twenty years. In those twenty years I had some bad nightmares, but I couldn’t wake up so I just had to deal with the pain, I mean it’s not like I wouldn’t be able to sleep or anything like that. But, after twenty long years I suddenly I woke up and took a really slow walk to me neighborhood. It took forever to walk back there because it felt like I hadn’t walked in like twenty years. When I finally got back to the good old hood, I found some pretty interesting changes. I saw that we were no longer driving are cars on roads, in fact we weren’t driving our cars at all; the cars were driving themselves, in the air. Everything seemed so safe, I never dreamed of something like that happening. I found out that we no longer had a president anymore, society ran itself, and people didn’t really have anything to do with it. When I got back, there was nobody, and I mean nobody was walking; they either had a flying car or one them electric scooter type deal things. I had never seen anything like it, it was one of the weirdest things that anyone could ever imagine of.

There would likely be more hybrid, bio-diesel or electric vehicles, as global oil reserves would be nearing depletion. Electronics would continue to advance, possibly with paper-thin or even holographic displays. We will likely have a woman president. More effective methods of travel in space could lead to manned missions to Mars. Seeing as global warming is a natural process only aided by mankind, the greatly reduced use of oil and other pollutants would slow its progress but would not stop it.

If I walked into a forest and drank some knome liqour and fell asleep for twenty years a lot would change. First, the United States economy would be t rock bottom and it would be a lot worse than the Great Depression. People would have looted all the businesses and there would not be much left. There would be very few people because they ganged up and put each other to near extinction. The few people that are left are not smart at all. I would be considered a genius because I would know more than anyone else because there would be every little education. I would try to find plants that I know are edible are take the seeds form them and start a small farm that I could be able to make enough food to keep myself alive. Then everyone would notice and they would make me their leader and I would help to get things restart to the point that they could keep themselves alive.

Once I awoke from a 20 year sleep, the world would be much different. The technology would have advanced immensely. There would be lots of hover-like vehicles, and all electronics would have project-like features. The fashion would also be out of this world. Getting to places and doing things would be a lot easier so I feel the world would be even more obese in the future than it is today.

If I was asleep for 20 years the world around me would be very different. Every person in society would have their own transportation/vehicle and because of this there would be no sidewalks to walk. The every building around me would be as tall as a skyscraper. I would not be able to live in this new society because I wouldn’t have enough money to live in the new society and I would not be able to understand the new technology that I would need to live such as transportation and job skills.

In 20 years I see the world being completely different. I would see the world as having a completely different look by the world having cracks in the earth from so many earthquakes and the continents having a lot less ground having the earth made up of even more water than before due to the ice caps melting. I also see there being different kinds of vehicles that can both drive on tough terrain and can convert into water cars that are very proficient on fuel. I would also see the world being very mad at each other and with the result of WWIII. There will still be technology which is even faster and smaller than it is today and even robots that take care of people and that fight wars for each country that they are made in. And finally, there will be no types of sports due to the owners not being able to pay for the players contracts.

After twenty years of sleeping I think I would come back to a world totally controlled by technology. Cars are going to be totally advanced and drive themselves or fly or something. I think phones will all have video chats and people won’t be texting anymore but talking into the phone to send texts. There will be a crazy amount of technology devices. Schools won’t have text books anymore and they will be going off the internet instead. I wouldn’t know how to work anything.

When I have awakened after twenty years, I come to find out that America is under control from China. I try walking to the nearest road, but all I come to find is old gravel dirt roads. I have a constant rumble underneath my feet and I finally understand that everyone is traveling underneath the surface and popping up at their destination. I walk for a couple of miles to the nearest city. The city is roaming with Toyota cars all emitting mist from their exhaust pipe. I walk to the nearest person and try to talk to him, but somehow he cannot hear me. He has all kinds of headphones, antennas, and wires running from his head to a small handheld device. I am dying of thirst so I try to find a store or restaurant to buy a bottle of water. I finally find a huge mega center Wal-Mart and walk inside. Everyone is still looking down at their mini devices and is only bumping into me, missing everyone else walking around the area looking at their devices. I was told that, if I wanted a bottle of water I should go to the Iowa landfill. I get an object that after drinking the water deteriorate in the air. I am then told to follow all the people on a bus to get my daily health check up. I am extremely surprised by the changes.

if i fell asleep for 20 years id wake up and be dissapointed how similar it will be 2 today. in 1991 the only thing we didnt have was internet, mobile phones, and social networking. most other aspects of life were the same then and will be mostly the same in 2031:(

When Rip Van Jake awoke in the woods twenty years after the sly Dutch Gnomes tricked him into drinking their liquor, he was surrounded by water. He then realized that he was floating on the log where he found the gnomes; the only thing he could see around him was water. Rip Van Jake then realized that Al Gore was right, global warming melted the glaciers and flooded the earth. Off in the distance he could see a small island just peaking out of the water, as Rip Van Jake got closer and closer he could see that there was some sort of inhabitants on the island. When he got to the island Rip Van Jake was shocked to see that all of the people on this island had gills, because fish was now the only source of food in the entire world the human race adapted and evolved into human fish. Each person on the island had a dorsal fin and gills, Rip Van Jake decided to stay with these people on the island. When it was time for the human fish to eat they all jumped in the water and fed, because these people on the island were still Americans, which means that they were also selfish, Rip Van Jake starved to death.

if i fell asleep and woke up in 20 years, i think there would be many changes in society. everything will be based
on some sort of technology. almost everything will have a computer chip or some sort of computing device in it. a
major change will be home computer systems that will be availible for install on homes. they will be able to control
various funtions of the house, such as heat, and lighting, and adjust them accordingly, in order to be in the most
comfort and sve the most energy. every computer chip weilding device will be able to wirelessly communicate, making
its use to be optimum to the user. oil, and coal vehicles will be nearly obsolete, because of strict pollution
laws, and only a few will be on the roads. electric cars will be the may way of transportation, because electricity
will be gathered from wind tubines, solar collectors, and nuclear energy, making if very cheap.
